Ms. Patricia A. Slappey

Ms. Patricia Ann Dice Slappey of 145 Stonewall Drive, Americus, Georgia died Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.


The funeral service will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 A. M. in the sanctuary of the Friendship Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia.  The burial will follow at Staley Memorial Garden in Americus, Georgia.


Patricia Ann Dice Slappey was born January 18, 1968 in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia to Doris Ruth Tyson and the late Charlie Floyd, Sr.
 
She was educated in Sumter County Public School System where she was a 1986 graduate of the Americus High School of Americus, Georgia. She   attended South Georgia Technical College where she received her Associate’s Degree.
 
She was employed at Davidson/Textron for ten years and the Marine Corps Logistics Base until her unfavorable diagnosis. She also blessed a number of other employers with her greatness.
 
On Friday, December 8, 2017, our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister peacefully left this world. Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her   brother, Charlie Floyd, Jr.
 
She leaves wonderful memories to her loving and devoted mother, Doris R. Dice Tyson of Americus, Georgia; her   loving and devoted children, Delisa M. Slappey and Derrick Slappey Jr. both of Americus, Georgia; a beloved goddaughter, Chelsey Dice of Americus, Georgia; her adored grandchildren, Kyndall Wilkerson, Kensley Slappey, Kason Sims, Kailyn Wilburn, and Dior Wilburn. her sisters, Tracy Monts of Americus, Georgia and Cassandra (Marcus) Jordan of Daytona, Florida; her god sisters, Yakima Yarbrough of Virginia, Jay’ne Yarbrough of Americus, Georgia and Marshae Yarbrough of Macon, Georgia; her brothers, Bryant K.(Shanica) Floyd of Warner Robins, Georgia and Daniel (Shaneea) Walton of South Carolina; her aunts/uncles, Bertha Dice of Americus, Georgia, Bobbie L. Player of Miami, Florida, and Jimmie Lee Floyd of Americus, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dedicated friends.
