Michael Curtis Floyd, 60, of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, in Chicago, IL. He was born on August 25, 1961 to William and Lula (Sams) Floyd Jr.

He married Robin Wendland on May 20, 2005; she survives. He is also survived by his two daughters, Ashley (Takashi) Nakayama of Japan and Sarah (Jerrod) Wendland of Peoria; two grandchildren, Lynn and Nate Nakayama; father, William (Juddee) Floyd Jr; siblings, Donna (Tim) Hardin, Deanna, Amy, and Amanda Floyd; Mother in-Law, Josephine (Dolly) Wendland, Brother and Sister in-law Jimmy & Tina Wendland, and his God Son Austin Tuley numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his Mom, Brother, Mark Floyd, niece, Kayla Floyd, and Father in-law, James Wendland Sr.

Mike was a Retired USAF Master Sergeant, serving 20 years. He was a member of Joseph Robbins Lodge, Quiet Pride Motorcycle Club, and the VFW.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his honorary donor, Betty Ann Vandamme.

Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services are assisting the family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Grade School with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Rev. Bobby Floyd will officiate. Cremation rites will accorded following the service and a private burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Jude or Disabled American Veterans.
