Michael Friedberger Obituary
Rockaway Twp. - Michael Philip Friedberger died suddenly on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his home. He was 74. Born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Joseph and Frances Friedberger, he lived in Rockaway Twp. for 31 years.
Dr. Friedberger retired from American Standard in Piscataway eight years ago. He served on the Rockaway Twp. School Board for 19 years. He was a proud member of the Friends of the East Broad Top Railroad and was a lover of all animals.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Frances Moyer and Joseph Friedberger. He is survived by his wife, Donna Friedberger; his daughter, Rachel Friedberger Kahn; and many nieces and nephews.
Private cremation services entrusted to Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Ave, Rockaway. Condolences may be sent to: RockawayFuneral.com.

Mike and I go back to high school days at La Salle College HS, Wyndmoor, PA. Great memories of his trolley line in the family basement and watching silent films with him, his dad, and classmates. May he live with the Lord and all the saints in glory.

I had the great privilege of working with Mike for almost 3 years at NM. I knew nothing about trains at the time but his passion was intoxicating. Over the years he's shared so many great stories, books, trivia, and cool gadgets with me that I'll never forget. I've never met his family, but it was evident the devotion he had for his wife, the pride he had for his daughter, and the love he had for his dogs. I will greatly miss talking to him and was looking foward to visiting East Broad Top Railroad with him. I'll always remember him everything I hear the train passing by. Thank you Mike for reminding how beautiful engineering can be and always encouraging me.

My deepest condolences to Michael's family... I had the pleasure of working with Michael at NM. I was privileged to learn so much locomotive history, how much he loved his family, and dogs, which we were discussing are family as well.... And how profoundly proud he was of his daughter's talent. A kind, loving soul who will be so greatly missed. I am thankful I had the chance to meet and know Michael. My thoughts and prayers are with all who knew him.....
