Michael GAREAU Obituary
1991 - 2014
It is with immeasurable grief that we announce the passing of our cherished Michael Richard Donald Gareau age 22. He will be lovingly remembered always by his parents Rick and Faye Gareau and his brother Matthew Gareau (Erin Abbott). Left to mourn are his grandparents Serge and Gail Gareau and Don and Heather Stenabaugh, aunt Colleen Prystupa, uncle Richard Prystupa and first cousins Shane Prystupa (Ariel Fawcett) and Stephen Prystupa. He will be deeply missed by his soul mate Lauren Cuzner and her family Stewart, Beverly, and Stephanie Cuzner, as well as numerous great aunts and great uncles, second cousins and extended family. Also the many people whose lives he touched through soccer, University of Saskatchewan, working at Chitek Lake in the summers, and his numerous friendships and relationships. We are all so truly proud of Michael's many accolades and accomplishments he achieved in his tragically short life. We want to offer our special thanks to the Royal University of Saskatchewan hospital staff as well as the EMS staff for their valiant efforts in his final hours. Prayers will be held for Michael at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (114 Kingsmere Place) on Thursday, March 6th at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 7th also at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the celebration of masses for Michael (cards available at the ceremonies), as well donations will be accepted for a memorial educational scholarship in Michael's name.
