Michael Gribble Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 30, 2021.
Michael Ray Gribble passed away peacefully on June 1, 2021, at the age of 80. Mike was born November 3, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri to Wilford and Lucille Gribble. After graduation from Edina High School in Edina, Minnesota, he went on to the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with a B.A. degree. In 1969, the family decided to move to California, and eventually resided in Anaheim Hills for many years. Mike worked for 30 years with his dad and brother in their own greeting card company, The Colortype Company. After those years, Mike became a successful restaurant franchisee, with locations in northern and southern California. In 2000, he married Janet, who was the love of his life. Together they enjoyed traveling the world to 25 countries, golfing, driving in their old cars, and working together in the business. Mike's favorite pastimes, besides family visits, were working on old cars, golfing, and socializing with friends. Mike was loved for his easy-going personality. Everyone who knew him found him to always be kind and respectful to family and friends. He enjoyed talking with friends and they cherished his friendship as well. He is survived by his wife, Janet Gribble, his daughters, Julie Harrison (Jeremy), Linsley Walker, stepson Garren Grieve (Hilary), stepdaughters, Julie Sutton (Chris), and Jennifer Geiwald (Urban), and his brother, Wilford (Buck) Gribble. He has seven grandchildren, Jack and Ashley Harrison, John Walker, Cayla and Colette Sutton, and Griffin and Hunter Grieve. He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him so much.
