Michael Alan Hamlin

Michael was a compassionate and caring soul. He cared about the less fortunate. He was a wonderful friend who was loyal and always made me laugh. I could speak to him about anything and trust him with my secrets. He was a great teacher and whenever we would encounter former students in Bangor they always had a hug and big smile for him. It was a tribute to a life well spent in the education and counsel of our youth. I'll miss you my dear friend. Peace and Love Always to You.

Mike and I worked together at Central Middle School for many years. So sorry to learn of his passing. My deepest sympathies to his family and all those who loved him.

Tony, I had no idea that your brother had passed away. I felt bad when I got home Wednesday night after my game at Penquis, only then to find out that your brother Mike had passed away. So sorry to hear of the passing of him, my wife and I send our best at this difficult time.

I sm so sad to hear about Michael. What a shock, I will really miss him. He was such a special friend and will miss our wonderful conversations. His passing is such a huge loss for me but I will always hold him close to my heart. I love you Michael.

The girls and I were shocked to hear of Mike's death. Mike used to babysit our kids in the 70's and was a dear friend to Jerry. We all shared a lot of laughter, many memories of a wonderful man. Another good one - gone. He will be well missed. ~

I am sorry to hear of Mike's passing. We were roommates at the Hyde School in 1982. Mike was easy to get along with. We traded many stories of growing up in Maine. He loved the North Country.

You are a kind gentle man that spoke highly of others. Your presence of being around always made people happy. I just can't believe your in heaven now. How am I going to tease you about mowing your lawn, because your neighbor's lawn looks better than your or say, " Hello Mr. Hamlin ". You would always look back at me with a smile and say, " Hello ". Charlie and I are deeply saddened to hear of Michael's passing. Michael lived with us in the 1980's and attended our wedding. We have many wonderful memories of the stories he laughingly shared with us. We remember how much he loved playing golf and later in life, he took up playing music with Tom Graham. We regret that we never heard him play live. Michael was a gentle loving man and we always looked forward to seeing his smile and receiving his warm bear hug. Charlie and I will miss him deeply. We have no doubt that his spirit has merged with the divine and ever-lasting light. Shine on in the night sky dear friend where we can see the twinkle of your eyes. You'll be forever in our heart.

I am so very sorry about your loss of Michael. he was my neighbor and friend for the last 11 years. what a privilege it has been to know him. he would join us for family gatherings, sang at my daughter's wedding party, would just chat with me outside, I will miss him terribly. rest in peace Michael, thank you for being my friend. my thoughts and prayers to the entire Hamlin family

the obit was really on target about mikes life, very nicely done and great thanks to the hamlin family for including me in it. he will be greatly missed by geoff and myself. 32 years of playing golf with mike and always fun!!! would never trade my time spent with him.
