Michael Harrell

Funeral Services for Michael Harrell, a 62 year-old Woodward resident will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday June 25, 2008 at the Johnson’s Good Samaritan Garden Chapel. Reverend Aaron Martin will officiate. Michael Wayne Harrell was born August 10, 1945 in Shattuck to William Clyde and Ruth Wilma (Noll) Harrell. Michael was raised in Gage and graduated from Gage High School in 1963. In 1967 Michael began working with Shell Pipeline in the petroleum industry in Texas and Louisiana, and on November 28, 1969 he married Rhonda Jean Davenport in Marrero, Louisiana. Mr. Harrell continued his work in this industry until 1980. In 1999 Michael moved back to Woodward. He enjoyed playing practical jokes, and working with anything mechanical; like cars, computers and appliances; but it was reading that brought him the most enjoyment in life. Mr. Harrell died June 23, 2008 in Oklahoma City. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include three sons Michael Wayne Harrell II and his wife Melissa of Zion Illinois, Marc and his wife Vicki of Lowell, Arkansas, and Matthew Harrell of Woodward; one brother and his wife Max and Carol Harrell of Gage; three sisters Clydene Harrell of Arlington, Marilyn Nickeson and husband Larry of Fargo, and Cindy Miller and husband Larry of Woodward; and four grandchildren Kailey and Lauren Harrell of Lowell, Arkansas, and Taylor and Trevor Harrell of Zion Illinois, and other friends and family.
