MICHAEL E. HASSEY

HASSEY, Michael E. 50, of Fall River, formerly of Somerset, passed away on May 23, 2016 at his residence. He was the the son of Thomas E. Hassey of Somerset and the late Cynthia (Pelletier) Hassey. He was a graduate of Somerset High School class of 1983 and Johnson & Wales Culinary Arts Program. He was a chef at the Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk and Crestwood Country Club in Rehoboth for many years. Michael was a die hard Bruins fan and enjoyed fishing. Survivors besides his father are a brother: Thomas A. Hassey and his wife Kristin of Norton, MA; two nieces: Victoria and Abigail; two nephews: Thomas and Michael. He was the brother of the late Timothy Hassey. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 8am to 10am in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton Street, SOMERSET, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Saint Louis de France Church, 56 Buffington Street, Swansea.
