Michael Kevin Hennessey beloved husband of Ellie of Calgary, AB passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the age of 55 years. Born on November 11, 1959 to Theresa and William Hennessey in Calgary, AB. Michael served in the Armed Forces as an avionics technician for several years as well he enjoyed working as a project manager for many more. Michael is survived by his loving wife Ellie of thirty- four years; his children Patrick and Ann and his grandson Austin. Also left mourning the loss of Michael is his mom Theresa and his sister Barbara and their families. Michael was predeceased by his father William (Bill) and his brother Bill. Michael touched many lives throughout his life journey. The love that he had for his family was special and the fondness he had for his friends was apparent to all who knew him. He will be remembered as a caring husband, a devoted father, proud grandpa, an incredible son, a loving brother, a generous uncle and a great friend. In living memory of Michael Hennessey, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Michael was a tremendous character in so many ways. He had a wealth of experience, a quick with and terrific sense of humour. He will be missed by so many who knew him as either a colleague, a friend or both.

So sad to hear about the passing of my old friend. Michael was a great fishing buddy, and was also the best man at our wedding, and Godfather to our first born. My deepest condolences to Ellie, Anne, Patrick, Theresa, Barbra and all.
