Michael James Hild

Michael James Hild, 68, passed away in the early morning of February 27, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was born on January 12, 1957, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Robert and Shirley (Sisson) Hild, who preceded him in death.

Michael was a devoted husband and best friend to Pamela Hild (Marr) for 33 years. He was a beloved father to Candy Baker, Brandy Baker, James (Tanya) Baker, and Adam (Sydney Jones) Baker. He was also a proud grandfather to Kaitlyn, Robert, Dario, Madison, Kacie, Nathan, Mickenzie, Chase, Ari, Zana, Kendall, and Syriss. His sisters Linda Hild and Rose (Gary) Griener also survive him.

At the age of 16, Michael began working at McDonald's and remained with the company for 45 years, retiring from its corporate headquarters. His dedication and work ethic were evident throughout his career.

Michael found joy in many hobbies, including bowling, golf, pool, fishing, and hunting. A passionate NASCAR fan, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite drivers. Among his greatest joys was building LEGO creations for Pamela and spending time with his children and grandchildren. His sense of humor and ability to bring laughter to those around him left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Even in passing, he continued to make an impact by donating his organs and helping two others.
