Michael Holko Jr. HAMILTON - Michael Holko Jr., 77, died Sunday at Capital Health Systems at Fuld in Trenton. Born in the Duquense area of Pittsburgh, PA, he was six months old when he went to live in Czechoslovakia and in 1948 returned to the United States. He finished high school in Czechoslovakia and began college there, but was instructed to go back to the United States since he was an American citizen. Mr. Holko was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from U.S. Steel in Fairless Hills, PA in 1993. He was a former member of Saints Peter and Paul Church for 50 years. He was a member of the Slovak Community Home. Mr. Holko was an avid hunter and sportsman. He was the son of the late Michael and Suzanna Nazad Holko and brother of the late Maria Hresko. He is survived by his wife, Anna Zalobinova Holko. In addition, he is survived by his family in the Slovak Republic, his two stepsons and their spouses, Jan and Henrietta Malatak and Vladislav and Dasa Malatak; his step-grandchildren, Veronika and Natalia; his nephew Josef and his wife Paula Hresko and his niece Irena and Viktor Tomas. He is also survived by his family in Canada, cousins Roze, Lisa and Sharon Kopil and his cousins in Pittsburgh, PA, Margaret, Gerald, Ronald and Kenneth Prengaman. He is also survived by many friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Kutch Funeral Home, 215 Grand St., Trenton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at The Church of St. Michael, Brunswick Avenue, Trenton. Interment will be in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Hamilton. Relatives and friends may share their condolences with the family today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
