Michael Lee Jacobs

Michael Lee Jacobs, 54, died suddenly at his Jacksonville, Florida home on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. A longtime Arlington resident, he was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired after 27 years of service as a Captain with the Metropolitan Police in Washington, D.C. Mr. Jacobs is survived by his wife, Ying Lu Jacobs; his mother, June Jacobs of Warrenton, a sister, Brenda Meeks of Annandale and a brother, Gordon Jacobs of Hume. His father, Orie M. Jacobs preceded him in death. The family will receive friends at Moser Funeral Home on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 10 until 11 AM where memorial services will be held at 11 AM. Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ying Jacobs, c/o Brenda Meeks, 4509 Fidelity Court, Annandale, 22003.
