Michael Patrick Kelly, known affectionately as Mike, passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 68 in Gig Harbor, Washington. Born on July 28, 1956, in Oregon City, Oregon, Mike was a beloved figure in his community and among his extensive family and friends.

Mike graduated from Hermiston Senior High School in 1974 and furthered his education at Nebraska College of Business and Tacoma Community College. Throughout his life, Mike was known for his diverse career. He worked as a Line Mechanic at Simplot, a Gas Station Attendant, Carpet and Linoleum Installer, Chimney Sweep, and was employed at Tum A Lum Lumber in Hermiston and Campbell Soup in Nebraska. He also contributed to the Eastern Washington State Parks Department and served as a Church Custodian. Mike owned his own flooring business, Miruvi, for a period, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and craftsmanship.

A jack of all trades, Mike was renowned for his ability to fix almost anything-a skill that complemented his career choices. His hobbies included fishing, watching classic movies and TV shows like "Gun Smoke," and reading Archie comic books. In his younger years, he was an enthusiastic participant at the Hermiston Raceway, racing his Oldsmobile Cutlas.

Mike was a devoted member of Columbia View Community Church and Family Worship Center in Irrigon, Oregon. His faith and involvement in his church community were central aspects of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Kelly, and mother, C. Joyce Noonan. Mike is survived by his daughter Ruby Kelly; granddaughters Angel Bowman and Kiki Bowman; brothers Clinton, Paul, Timothy, and Danial Kelly; and sister, Linda Kelly.

Memorial services will be held on September 14th in Port Orchard, Washington, and at The First Christian Church in Hermiston, Oregon, with a potluck to follow. The family suggests that contributions be made to cancer research in memory of Mike.

The funeral arrangements are being handled in Port Orchard, Washington, where Mike's memory will be honored and cherished by all who knew him.
