Michael Kendall

With sadness, we share that Michael Stephen Kendall passed away January 30th, 2025 at the age of 38. Though his time with us was far too short, Michael brought love, laughter and joy to our lives.

Michael was born on September 4th, 1986 in Portland, Oregon, to Steve and Kate Kendall. His early years were filled with family, sports, and friendships. As a son, Michael shared a special and loving bond with his parents. As the only boy in the family, Michael shared a closeness with each of his sisters, and they shared many fond memories growing up together.

Michael graduated from Jesuit High School in 2005 before journeying to the University of Montana to begin his studies as a Griz, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

After joining the family business, Michael excelled in sales and marketing due to his willingness to learn all things in the fastener industry and his ability to communicate and care for customers.

A gifted athlete, Michael loved snowboarding, basketball, golf, hiking, and running. Michael enjoyed many days and vacations on the mountains with his dad and friends. He had favorite trails, including the M in Missoula and Forest Park in Portland. Michael also loved gardening, cooking, and all things science fiction.

Michael was beloved by his family who are devastated by this loss. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Kate, his sisters, Mary (Fred), Liz (Jeff) and Laura, his niece Fiona and nephews Sebastian and Liam, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, ambitious spirit, sense of humor, twinkling blue eyes, and his bright smile.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held Saturday April 5th at 11:00 am at Amaterra Winery.
