On Thursday, June 27, 2013, of South Side. Dearly beloved husband of Mercedes (Kubiak) Kostelnik; father of Michele (Kenneth) Jones and Curtis (Teresa) Kostelnik; brother of George Kostelnik and Mary Consolmagno, and the late John, Stephen, and Andrew Kostelnik and Julia Wilding; grandfather of Elisabeth Jones, Jeannette Kress, Jonathan Jones, and Angela Jones. Friends received at the JOHN J. GMITER FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 119 S. 15th St., South Side on Saturday and Sunday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Prayer Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul of the Cross Monastery at 11:30 a.m.

My condollences from a distant cousin that lived in Carnegie Pa. William Kozy, (Kozej)My parents and the Kostelnicks came from Roskovic in Slovakia. I remember visiting the Kostelnicks in Greenfield as a young boy.

Oh what a wonderful man my father in law was! He was a perfect husband, a gentleman, and always there for you whenever you needed anything. I am the luckiest person in the world to have had him in my life as my other Dad!I thank everyone for including me as part of this incredible family. Mom I love you and I am so sorry he is gone. Love you all!!!
