Michael "Mike" Kronzer

Michael "Mike" Kronzer passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the age of 59, following a year-long battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Los Gatos, Mike was a graduate of Los Gatos High and San Jose State University, and worked at Borelli Investment Company for more than 23 years. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Jane, his mother, Ardath, his brother, Doug, his sister, Cindy, his brother in laws Mike and David and many nieces and nephews. Settled as he was in his favorite town, Mike travelled often, and did so with nothing more than a pack on his back and his wife, Jane, by his side. Rarely conventional, Mike preferred small towns and intimate settings, returning only with stories from the journey and photographs of the unique sights and subtle textures so often overlooked. Mike was 100% himself, marching to a very peculiar beat on a highly customized drum. He liked his dogs small but loud, his comedy silly and sophisticated, his ukulele, and his music WAY outside the mainstream, including and especially Phish. He was funny, and interested, and adventurous. He was firm, and tough, and witty and irreverent. He smiled big, celebrated often, and laughed all the way. He was a good husband. He was a good son. He was a good friend. He was a good man. He was eclectic and wonderful and he will be missed.Mike will be remembered for his strange combination of attributes and interests by an equally unusual mixture of friends. He surrounded himself with a wonderful group of artists, professionals, tradesmen, all of whom were always welcome to walk through the perpetually open front door of the home he shared with his loving wife. If you want to cry a little, laugh a little - maybe even dance a little - a service followed by a remembrance party will be held for Mike at Saint Mary's in Los Gatos at 2:00PM on Friday, January 13, 2023.
