Father Michael gave freely of himself to God and others. He helped my family, myself, and I'm sure thousands of others. I met him through my Goddaughter when her father passed. He was so kind and eloquent in speaking to her about her dad. I knew he was special. From that day forward, he was in my heart. He helped me through very rough times, gave freely of himself when my sister was terminally ill, spent time with her to help her, and always, always was so positive, giving, and just made you comfortable in whatever situation was unfolding. I was lucky enough to visit him in November with my Goddaughter. His spirits were positive and as always, a great story to tell. He talked about his family so lovingly. To his family: My heart goes out to you. Losing his physical being is so hard, but know his spiritual being is walking, guiding, and loving you everyday, until you meet again. God Bless Father Michael.

Fr. Michael provided companionship, the Eucharist and friendship to our mother. She and our family are deeply saddened and pray he has found eternal peace.

Father Mike gave me some great advice, when I was having difficulty with my job, back in 1988, when he was at St. Basil. I value his advice, to this day. May he be with God, and keep watch over all who he comforted. Nicholas Z.
