I worked with Mike at the Westinghouse Hematite site decommissioning, near Festus, MO south of St. Louis, in 2008. He was a pleasure to work with and will be missed. My condolences to his family on his loss at such a young age.
I have now lost two friends whom I met on that project. I remember Frank W. Kennedy (a Pittsburgh native from Toledo, OH) who also worked with Mike and died while working in Birmingham, AL just one year earlier at age 57.

I had the pleasure of working with Mike in St. Louis and on a project near Pittsburgh. I sincerely hoped to work with him again in the near future as he possessed a wealth of knowledge and experience, and I knew I could count on him. He was a good friend and colleague. My condolences go out to the Lambert family.

Mike was technically competent and was highly regarded in the HP professional field. He was always a straight shooter with an unwavering integrity. Most importantly, he was a very nice person to work with even from the regulators. I have the highest respect for his professionalism and truth to his work. He will surely be missed.

It was truly an honor an pleasure working with Mike professionally on the SLDA project. I was the former project manager and he made such a lasting impression on me as a human being because he was kind, sensitive and a straight-shooter. He had such a great sense of himself and placed an emphasis in doing what was right. I am thankful for the opportunity in meeting and knowing Mike.
My condolences on your loss because he was such a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely
Yolande Norman (US NRC)

Mike made a lasting impression on me as a young, impressionable engineer the last 4 years. He respected me, believed in me, and made me feel like a worthy voice in the face of aversion. I trusted his opinion more than anyone I ever worked with. The loss is a gaping hole, and is he someone I will never forget. He has really shaped my career and made a lasting impression on me.
I send my sincere condolences to his family, as I live out of state and am not able to attend the funeral. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
