Michael Lipke Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 12, 2014.
Born June 18, 1952 in Hillsdale, WI, Mick passed away peacefully at home in Gordon, WI on June 7, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. His dream was to retire up North where the walleye had feared his name for countless years. He was happiest on the water with a pole in his hand or on the golf course at Forest Point Resort. The cancer had robbed him of the ability to do the things he loved but his family and friends take great comfort in knowing he was able to fulfill his greatest wish, to live in, and share with his family, an area that he loved like no other.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Larry and Kate. He is survived and will be forever missed by his loving wife Jane (Turner). Their love story is made all the sweeter as they had found their way back to each other. She was a great comfort to him at the end of his life.

He leaves behind two children, Stacy Rose of Rice Lake and Bryan Lipke of Green Bay; his fishing buddy and only grandson Ethan Rose; granddaughters Mackenzie and Madyson Rose, Emma, Claire and Lauren Lipke; brothers Tom (Deb), Ski (Lynese), Bob (Darlene), Brian (Kathy) and Todd (Vicky); his nieces and nephews; great friends Dave and Andrea Babcock, Steve Babcock and Steve Rose.

A Memorial Service will be held at Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron, WI on June 16 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will also take place on July 5 at "The Shack" from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Eau Claire Lakes Conservation Club in care of the State Bank of Drummond, 50490 St Hwy 27, Barnes, WI 54873.
