Accomplished thresher shark fisherman Mike befriended "Fitznofish" on the Ventura Pier in 1955 and became part of my life. I got my own boat and joined him, brother Tim, and Ben Henke in the summers of 55 and 56. In the off season, we hot rodded my Chevy Stovebolt Six. Mike's mantra: "Speed! Power! Acceleration! Noise! Vibration!" Oh, the fishing and car stories I could tell to someone not at liberty to leave. Mike went on to fish boats he built beyond the International Date Line, fly the vintage Stearman he rebuilt, and build his own house. Mike was Jack London's Sailor on Horseback. He became my hero on the Ventura Pier in 1955 and remains there still.

Condolences to Adrienne, Tim and other of his family and friends I've not met. Mike was a good and decent man and more fun to be with than anybody I've ever known.

I can only offer a heart-deep hug from afar for Adrienne and her family, for whatever comfort or help it can bring to know that the warm concern is there around you.

Steve and I were blessed to share lunch and great conversation with Mike and Adrienne a few years ago and we will cherish that memory. Mike Marble stories were abound within the Swenerton family time after time which allowed us to "Know who Mike was" indirectly. The news of his passing caused time to stop for us. We sat in silence trying to absorb the news. Mike Marble's essence will remain with us until we meet again. Our love to you Adrienne, Debbie and Steve Swenerton.

My heart goes out to Adrienne and the family. What a wonderful man - I have never met such a caring, giving person as Mike. Always smiling, always joking around! I was fortunate to spend a little time with him a few months ago and I had so much respect and adoration for him. Such a caring, loving Father and Husband. He truly was an amazing person. Thank you for being so hospitable and I will never forget the time I did get to spend with you and get to know you! God definitely took a good one........rest in Peace my friend!

Michael was a dear friend and brother to the Millis clan. He was true blue and an inspiration to us all. We are all sorrier than we can say for the loss to Adrienne and his family. We all appreciated his courage and kindness, his humor and zest for life. I know we'll be telling Mike Marble stories for years to come.

Mike was the best neighbor and friend I could ever have had. His generous, adventuresome spirit endeared him to many far and wide. No words can express the sadness that we feel at his passing, and thelove and admiration that we all had for this gentle, kind, fun loving spirit. I will miss you Mike, more than words can say and we grief for his widow, Adrienne, his wonderful children, his former wife and good friend Linda and all whose lives he touched. I will always remember his twinkling eyes and hear his wonderful laugh
