Peacefully, on October 31, 2018, of North Versailles, formerly of Wilmerding. Mr. Matarazzo was regarded as the "Greatest Generation." He served his country in the US Army during WWII in the Battle of the Bulge in Europe. He was wounded in combat and received numerous medals, including the Purple Heart. Loving father of Darlene (Mike) Kerchner; special Pap of Lori (Scott) Shaulis, Doug Kerchner, and Suzy (Bill) Dryer; special Pap Pap of; Haylee, Dalton, Madison, Dakoda, and Andrew; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Joan Matarazzo; parents, Gaetano and Nicoletta Matarazzo; and all of his siblings. Family and friends will be received to celebrate Mr. Matarazzo's life on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Services in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery with Military Honors.
