MICHAEL MATTE Obituary
Passed suddenly at the age of 17 on November 8, 2014. Beloved son of Ken Matte, and Christine Matte and Al Desbien. Loving brother of Katelyn Matte and Scott Kennedy, Kevin Matte (Calgary), Alison Matte and Jeff Slavik. Proud Uncle of Sophia and Elias. Much loved grandson of Shirley and John (2004) Baillargeon, Bernie and Ila Colombe. He will also be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Michael was a student at General Amherst High School, played football for the Bulldogs (#37), and played baseball with Amherstburg Minor Baseball. Visiting will take place at the

on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers at 8 p.m. and Funeral on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Church, Amherstburg at 10:30 a.m. Please note: no procession from Funeral Home, please go directly to church. I knew of Michael because my granddaughter started kindergarten with him, and has gone all through school with him as a friend. God has a plan through this tragedy, that we are not given to understand. May HE help you celebrate this wonderful young life -- gone from us way too soon... but, gone to a better place. A caring Grandma..
