Coach Mike! I am so blessed I had the pleasure to meet you when I moved to Elmwood Park in 2014. We coached baseball together the same south elm baseball you played as a young boy. We had a blast so much fun and memories. The best coach and the heart and soul you put into the game with the boys was amazing. The passion you had for the game you brought that excitement to the team. The memories and what I have learned from you are priceless. Love you brother!

Mike was an awesome human being! I met him in the basement of St Luke´s and his nickname with me was Elmwood Park Mike or Italian Mike! He was a sweetheart! In and out of the rooms! He also helped us with advertising for my Mike´s plumbing business, so we got to know each other better! My Mike passed away a year ago this past February, and Mike came to his wake. Mike had such a beautiful smile and kind heart, with all of us! He will never be forgotten! All prayers and love for his family and friends!

Mike Mazzuca was an absolute character and will never be forgotten! We had so many laughs back in the day in Winona at SMU. The sports, music and bad movie references never ended with that guy. Mike had a way of bringing a fun and mischief side out of people and there were never any regrets afterwards .... well, maybe a few! ( :

Sending prayers of strength and peace to Mike´s family.
I´m sure his son will carry on the tradition of making those around him laugh like Mike did for me during High School, college and whenever I´d see him after.
God Bless Mike

Mike was one of my oldest friends- at his best, he was kind, loyal- and absolutely hysterical (he would be angered if I didn't mention handsome). Over the last few days I replay some old memories and have a range of emotions- laughter being the main one- sadness a close second.
From the early days at St. Vincent's and South Elm Baseball to Fenwick- and a lot of miles spent together after that- we had some times.
Rest in Peace Duke

"Magic Mike" as I would call him. He always shared a magical smile and a warmness about himself . I've had the pleasure to work with him over the last year and he constantly shared moments of being a great Dad . My deepest condolences to his son, Mikey and to his family and loved ones . You will be missed . Rest well.

I met Mike while I was working for our late friend Mark Cecola at Armand´s in Elmhurst in the early 2000s. He was one of the funniest guys I knew during our 20s. One of those people who had a natural magnetism about them. I´m gonna miss all the great laughs we would have when we´d randomly run into each other. Life isn´t fair. I´m so sorry for his son Mikey and family. I will always cherish the laughs we had. Sending his family peace and comfort during this difficult time. Godspeed Mike.
