Michael McElhannon

Michael Bruce McElhannon was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on September 1, 1953 to the late Bruce (Mac) and Mabel McElhannon.

After graduating from Pine Bluff High School, Michael attended Arkansas Tech and then Westfield State University in Westfield, MA. He graduated with a degree in Wildlife Management.

Michael loved the outdoors- he camped, hiked, canoed whenever he got the chance. However, his busy business life as a real estate agent and owner of several different businesses (Tastee Freeze, Chief Gas Station, and a Subway sandwich shop) kept him indoors much of the time.

Everywhere he would go Michael's tall frame and friendly smile put people at ease. He loved surrounding himself with great folks and had more friends than he could count.

Though he love people, Michael was not afraid to be alone. His house was filled with books he had read-or was in the process of reading. Often his interest in something would be sparked by a conversation or newspaper article and Michael would avidly research the subject- reading everything he could find about it.

Michael will be missed by so many, but especially by his sister, Debbie (Joe) White; nieces, Kristin and Kelly Caldwell; and by his great nephew, Phoenix Caldwell.
