Michael McMahon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 14, 2025.
Michael was born in Brooklyn on July 28, 1968, the 4th child of Michael and Theresa McMahon. At the young age of 18, Michael joined the United States Army. He served in South Korea at the DMZ and had an impeccable Armed Forces record, which earned him an invitation to West Point Military Academy.

Michael was a proud Brooklynite where he would live his entire life. He relished being part of a big family and reminded us all, regularly, of the importance of it. He drew great pride from the friends he had and the connections he shared throughout his life.

Michael is survived by his sisters Celine, Gail (Andrew) and Monica; Brother Kevin (Denise) nephews Daniel, Frankie (Caroline), Wesley, Christopher, Timothy and Godson, Kevin; nieces Melissa (Michael), Kira, Krista, Lauren, Patricia (Raf), Kristen, Kerri; great-nephews Christopher, Cristiano; great-nieces Emily, Lia, Hannah, Giuliana and Alessia. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Joseph and Theresa Mary McMahon, as well as his brother Stephen.

A Funeral Mass will be held on March 22, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Mark's Church, located at 2609 East 19th Street, Brooklyn, New York, 11235.

Michael was my neighbor and I loved chatting with him on his stoop. He was sharp, funny, and welcoming. I will miss him very much. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, my condolences to his family.
