I think this is what Michael would want to say to us...
To Mum & Ray; & my dearest family;
Some things I’d like to say…but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I’m writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there are no more tears of sadness: here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I’m out of sight. Remember that I’m with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and He said, “I welcome you.” It’s good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they’ll be here later on. I need you here badly; you’re part of my plan. There’s so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.” God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night, the day’s chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you…in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years, because you are only human, they are bound to bring you to tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. But if I were to tell you, you wouldn’t understand .But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over, I’m closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; but together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I’d like it for you too… that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help somebody who’s in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night…”My day was not in vain.” And now I am contented…that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go. When you’re walking down the street, and you’ve got me on your mind; I’m walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it’s time for you to go…from that body to be free, remember you’re not going…you’re coming here to me.

Julie, Cole, Cindy, and Ed;
Thirty three years ago a premature baby boy was born,
Thirty three years later our lives were distraught and torn;
As Michael grew to be a proud and strong young man,
A call for help was always answered with “any way I can “;
Along his path he made many fiends, and Michael was a fantastic dad;
We can’t forget what a loving husband Julie had;
Leaving behind an emptiness in his Mother’s heart,
We know they should be together not apart;
I wake up thinking this was all a bad dream,
Wondering if it was God that was so mean;
We all know that this isn’t so, and we all will meet
Him when it is our time to go;
Michael, my Grandson, you are sadly missed:

Julie and Cole,
I do not know where to start with such a one of a kind person, always smiling, always there to help in a drop of a dime, a great father, a great husband and a good friend. Me and Eric feel so blessed to have met such a great person who will remain in our thoughts forever. Our hearts go out to you Julie and Cole, Julie you are such a strong person, but I know one thing that you will have a piece of Mike with you everyday through that Loving,Funny, Smart, and Caring son of yours. Because there is no doubt in my mind that Cole is a spitting image of Mike in every way possible. And we will always have the wonderful memories of such a great guy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Julie and Cole, and just remember that if you need anything we are here for you. We love you guys :)

To all who cared for Mike,
This tragedy was a terrible loss, and my utmost sympathies go to Cole. Nobody should grow up without a father, but at least he knew him, and has so many people to remind him how truely amazing he was. Julie, i cant imagine what your going through. But your staying strong. And i love you. Your a great sister and, im here for you and Cole.
Although Mike is in all our prayers, he might not need them, he is living eternally happy next to God in the kingdom of heaven, and thats the best thought in the world.
God bless.

Dear Milto Family...
My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to you all. I have been in a constant state of prayer for you since that tragic day. You do not know me. I live right across the street from the site of the accident and my heart breaks for you all at this most devasting time. I can only offer my deepest sympathies, my forever, heartfelt prayers and the warmth in your hearts from knowing that a complete stranger will be praying for you all for her eternity. God has a precious person with him now... know that Mike will be in your hearts for always, and you will see him again one glorious day in the presence of God. Take comfort in the grace and love of God, for His plan, although confusing, is full of Love for us all. May you find peace, love and comfort from reaching out to God and to those here who love you. From what I've read here, Mike was surely a true Blessing here on earth. You will again one day be with him... I pray that you find comfort in that part of God's plan. God's Blessings on you all. With endless sympathy and prayers...

To Mike's family and friends, I am truly sorry for this loss. Mike, I will always remember us playing together when we were kids in the summers and every other weekend, with your dad, agitating your great aunt, grandmother, and great uncle. We learned much those years. I have many great stories to share with my daughter Julia (maybe) and my son Chris. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers forever.

Julie, Cole, Ed and Cindy:
A son, a father, a husband a brother, Milt had the heart and a strength like no other.
A beautiful person he was inside and out, Mike you'll be missed without a doubt.
I don't have room to explain all of the wonderful things about Michael Milto, but know that I cared about him very deeply and will miss him more than anyone will know. He was one of those people so special that you felt lucky he entered your life. He had such passion, such love for all of the people who were close to him. He was a wonderful father and I see so much of him in Cole. As my husband's best friend, I got to see first hand what a wonderful man Mike was and my heart is breaking for all of you. I want all you to know that I will always think of Mike as a man who made a difference. He had a genuine heart. God bless everyone and may you get through this hard time and know that I am here and will do EVERYTHING I can to help you along the way.

Wow. I don't know where to start. Mike... you were, no, ARE a great Man, and great friend. I am glad I had the chance to know you and grow up with you.
Milto family, Taleesha and I are so deeply sad for this tragedy. There are so many great memories I have from growing up... Staying up for what seemed like an entire weekend trying to beat Legend of Zelda when it first came out, Football in Clifford's back yard, Hockey at the playground, WM hockey... I could go on forever. I hate the fact that I didn't make a better effort to keep in touch when I left, but am very glad we were able to re-connect for a little hockey when I was home recruiting a couple years back. I wish the best for you all and know that if Cole grows up to be like his father, he will be just fine. You all have our deepest sympathies.

Every now and then in life we are blessed with someone who walks into a room and his smile makes all your troubles and sorrows disappear. For me that someone was Mike. My husband and I loved him with all our hearts. From watching him be a son and grandson, a husband and most of all a dad you could see how very special he was. What a friend he was always there to help whatever it was you wanted done he was sure to show up. I must admit when i found out I questioned God to what possible reason he would have to take this young healthy man away from his mom and dad and mostly his wife and son. It must be big what God has in store for him and I know he will get it done with his big beautiful smile. Mike I will miss you with all my heart and pray for your family. My deepest regrets to the whole family. I know in every heart he ever touched he will live on forever and ever. And I know he will always be there to guide Cole. Rest in peace sweet dear loving Mike till we meet again
