Brenda,
Please accept my deepest sympathy for the passing of your dad. I have so many good and fun memories of you dad! He had a quick smile and awesome laugh. And I can tell you, YOU were the apple of his eye! He loved his little girl so much! I'll remember his kind, beautiful blue eyes that seemed to twinkle when he smiled, his love for the Cowboys, the goolosh he made, the funny way he and your mom would banter back and forth. I'll remember him of course fixing cars, his gardening and hot house, buying his little girl a golf cart to ride around the property! The trips to the Circus in Dallas. The fish pond, painting or re-doing the house for you guys...your mom. lolo! He was always so welcoming to me and my family, as was your mom...treated us just like family. The Christmas' and Thanksgivings with you guys...your birthday parties. Halloween at the VFW. These are just a few of the memories that come to mind right away. I have great pictures from back then as well. Keep sharing those fun memories of him (and your mom)...he'll always be a part of you and you'll get to tell Eric all about him with stories, picures and love.
I love you Bren! I'm so blessed that you all were and are part of my life. I can't imagine what it would have been like without.
