Michael Stephen Mitchell

Michael Stephen Mitchell, 64, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on November 9, 2025. Born December 13, 1960, in Frankfort, Kentucky, Mike was the son of Warren "Pete" and Constance "Connie" Mullens-Mitchell.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Teri (Holcomb) Mitchell; their children, Gina (Will) Crumbaugh, Angie (Emil) Baltic, and Wesley (Elle) Mitchell; and five beloved grandchildren: Lily, Laney, Owen, Emma, and Jay. He is also survived by his mother, Connie Mitchell; brothers, Warren Mitchell Jr. and Brad (Angie) Mitchell; sister, Susan (Terry) Young; and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was a graduate of Franklin County High School and a lifelong learner who loved teaching and encouraging others. He served faithfully as an elder and biblical counselor at Lakeside Community Chapel, where his heart for helping others and sharing God's Word deeply impacted many.

An entrepreneur at heart, Mike founded numerous businesses and enjoyed shuffleboard, UK basketball, cruising, camping, and time with family.

A celebration of life will be held at Lakeside Community Chapel in Clearwater, Florida, on Saturday, November 15, at 10:30 a.m. The service will be livestreamed on YouTube via Lakeside Community Chapel's channel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chances for Children, an organization dear to Mike's heart, as his grandson Jay's first years of life were spent in their creche in Haiti.
