Mike was truly one of the greatest reasons for my success in my trade. His easy way of instructing with a touch of humor made learning easy. Then having the pleasure of working with him as a guest instructor was a real treat. I've thought of him often since those days.

I'm also glad I got to do s little finger picking with him after teaching.

Join the band up yonder Mike! They need a picker.

He put wallpaper in my house, music in my brain, and a lasting friendship in my heart.
We wander through life, and if we're lucky we make a friend or two... but if we're really fortunate, we find someone who wants to join us on a journey. Mike joined me on my journey and I'm forever grateful.
I miss those good times and I'm sad that he's gone.
All my love, Norma

Michael, you were the best, in so many ways. I will always miss you, and will always remember your great humor, your willingness to pick up the guitar any time, always was such a great time. The jokes of the many bears (including the one who joined us at Chuckles), your hilarious thoughts and your wisdom, your wonderful friendship. You were and always will be an incredible power of example to so many. My deepest sympathies and so much love to you, Norma, and to the whole family during this very sad time, I'm so sorry. Our lives were certainly made richer by knowing him.
