Michael Murdock Obituary
Born on January 5, 1950, in Ogdensburg, New York, Mike was the child of Ernest E. Murdock and Mary Jean (Bresette) Murdock. He grew up in northern New York and graduated from Heuvelton Central School in Heuvelton.New York
Mike worked as a Quality Assurance Technician at Corning Glass Works in Canton, New York. After retiring on disability, he and his wife relocated to Morriston, Florida. There, they embraced a peaceful country lifestyle-caring for family horses and enjoying the companionship of their beloved dogs.
On August 17, 1968, Mike married Candace (Montroy) at St. John's Church in Morristown, New York. The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Kevin Conners.
Mike was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Williston, Florida. He found joy in the outdoors and spent time trapping, hunting, and canoeing-activities that reflected his deep appreciation for nature.
He is survived by his wife Candace and their daughters Lisa (August) Bonno of Morriston, Florida; and Leslie Meyer of Inglis, Florida; Diane Kraft BrierHill New York;a brother Robert (Sharon) Murdock of DePeyster, New York; sister Renee' (Steve) Baxter of Norwood, New York; grandsons Jordan Bonno of Morriston Fl and Brandon (Jenny) Bonno of Ocala Fl; granddaughters Courtney Bonno of Morriston Fl;Jessica Perretta of Watertown, New York; Katelyn Perretta of Elmira, New York; and Kelley (Lucas) Davalos of Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Mike also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by his parents and by a nephew Joshua Murdock.
In accordance with Mike's wishes, there will be no services.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
