Michael Robert Nice

Michael Robert Nice passed away on August 13th, 2024 after a long and brave fight with cancer. He lived a life filled with integrity, joy, and kindness. Michael is deeply missed and his memory will live on forever through friends and family who will hold him close. He is survived by many including his wife Andrea and son Jace whom he loved dearly.

To be in community with Michael was to be truly cared for. He worked hard for his family and helped all those around him while asking nothing in return. This was palpable in his love for cooking - exploring new foods and flavors that he would share with family and friends whether it was down the shore, camping, or simply in the kitchen.

Michael made everyone feel cared for. He would listen intently and give pep talks to encourage people to make the best of their situation. And when he wasn't building you up through a pep talk he was making you laugh with his grounded sense of humor.

When he wasn't delving into new foods and flavors he was immersed in video games, banding with friends online to explore new worlds and adventures or co-playing with his family. Or he was fishing, something that brought him a lot of joy as he found peace when he was surrounded by nature.

One of the most all-encompassing facets of Michael was his ability to never back down from a challenge. This was evident in so many areas of his life – playing games, working hard, or going back to school. He was fearless in his approach to life and embraced it to its fullest. This fearlessness has reverberated through the hearts and souls of those in his life, and will continue to echo through eternity.

Please join us for a celebration of life honoring Michael on October 20th, 2024, at Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Ln, Churchville, PA 18966, from 11am-3pm. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 for those who wish to share any words or memories, followed by a luncheon.
