Mr. Michael Allen Pete

Mr. Michael Allen Pete, 49, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly January 12, 2018 in Waterbury Hospital. Michael was born September 13, 1968 in Waterbury to the late Willie Pete and Gail Shannon. Michael was educated in the Waterbury Public School system. He was a graduate of Kennedy High school where he played on the Varsity Football Team. Michael continued his education at Naugatuck Valley Community College. He was big on education and was always open to learning new things which lead him to receiving a degree in culinary arts allowing him to work as a chef for many years. He was the true example of a hard worker. Mike always kept himself busy and had many ideas. Michael worked various jobs including being an employee at Phoenix Soil a where he worked with heavy machinery and All State Traffic Control as a flagger. During his free time, he liked to fish, enjoyed traveling; and spending time with family and friends during family gatherings and cookouts. Michael was an avid fan of Pittsburgh Steelers and loved to watch football. Mike was the type of person who would like to do spur the moment things; he was the life of the party. His presence would brighten up anywhere he was. Indeed a true family man, his children and grandchildren meant the most to him. His heart was like a pot of gold; he was so generous and kind. He will be truly missed but a host of extended family and friends. He is survived by two daughters; LaSharron Offley and Shakeela Edwards both of Waterbury, three sons; Sean Wright, Michael C. Pete and Malik Pete all of Waterbury; nine grandchildren, longtime companion Terry Mazon of Waterbury, three Brothers; Paul Edwards, Brian Pete and Jason Pete all of Waterbury, one sister; Winfred Pete of FL, nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
