Michael POOLE Obituary
November 1, 2020. Born in Lockport, NY, June 18, 1954. Beloved husband of Sheri Poole; devoted father of David G., Earon M. (Elizabeth) and Heather E. (Karyssa) Poole; step-father of Mark Trillizio; loving grandfather of Dylan, Christopher and KaeShaan; cherished son of George and Elinor (nee Conley) Poole; dear brother of Marcy (Michael) Kucharski, Mark (Janet) Poole and the late Matthew Poole; brother-in-law of Sheri Poole; step-brother of Nancy (Jim) Pohlman and Vicky Boye (Martin) Wysocki; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the C. MERTZ AND SON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 911 Englewood Ave. for Memorial Visitations Saturday, November 7th, from 1 PM-5 PM. New York State Guidelines will be followed, where masks and social distancing are required. Due to capacity restrictions, we appreciate your patience, if entry to funeral home is delayed.
Mike founded MJ Mechanical in 1977 along with his partner John "Jack" Bergmann. A small local HVAC company with seven employees which grew into a successful Mechanical Contractor with almost two-hundred employees. Mike was Chairman of Fundraisers for Children's Hospital and several other charities. Former President and active member of Park Country Club since 1988. An avid golfer and Bills fan, his humor and zest for life was unparalleled. He will be greatly missed by many who admired him. Sheri, I was flabbergasted when I saw that Mike had pass away. I knew him from the construction industry and all the help he provided in helping me build a Malting Firm, then selling, dismantling and shipping it to California. He took great pride in everything he did. What a great man, I will miss seeing him at Park and elsewhere.

So sorry to hear the sad news. Mike was a genuine "good guy". Although he was co-owner of the company he always treated all of us employees as his equal and never looked down on anyone. I am greatful to have worked for and with him. Thanks for everything Mike. Rest in peace.

Mike was not just a business associate, but a friend who´s passing will leave a void in everyone´s lives. Meeting Mike thru business at Polymer, enjoying conversation at lunches, dinners, and an occasional round of golf, bonds are formed that turn business into friendships.
I knew Mike as a Gentleman, one of the nicest individuals I´ve had the opportunity to know.
Our prayers go out to Sheri, the rest of Mike´s Family, and all the MJ group!
