Michael PORTEOUS Obituary
Suddenly on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the age of 29 with his loving partner Victoria Palmer by his side. Son of Jeff (Linda) and Susan (nee Broeders) (Scott). Beloved brother of Jennifer (Matt Dickie) and Gregory (Christine Brûlé). Sadly missed by his nieces Gracie and Sadie and his nephew Joey. Cherished grandson of Bill and the late Doris Porteous, Irene and the late Joe Broeders. Greatly missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his family and friends. Michael loved nature, hiking and animals and was happiest with chicken wings and a pint in hand. He constantly displayed his humble and caring heart through his warm comforting bear-hugs and his incredible sense of humour. Michael had a passion for history and was able to explore many opportunities through various internships and volunteering. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. (between Scrivens Dr. and Metcalfe Corner) from 5-9 p.m. Thursday July 27 and from 10-10:45 a.m. Friday July 28. Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Ottawa Senators Foundation, 1000 Palladium Dr. Kanata, On. K2V 1A5 or the Ottawa Humane Society, 245 West Hunt Club Rd. Nepean, ON K2E 1A6 would be appreciated.

I only recently met Mike when he joined Convergint Technologies in January this year. He was always smiling and pleasant to work with. We are all sad at his passing and I pray that God will comfort his family during this time of loss and in the days to come.
