Dear Liz, Mike Jr. and Alex,
I am so deeply sorry to learn of Mike's passing. We moved next door to Mike and his family shortly after his accident, and were neighbors until we both went to college. Mike was always an inspiration to me, so full of positive energy, intellectual curiosity, and warmth of heart. I have dozens of crystal clear memories of our childhood antics...we used to call each other Rob-Bob and Turkey-Lurkey. I last saw Mike at our 25th class reunion and it was SO wonderful seeing him again. He was so proud of his family and loved you all so. Sending you all my deepest sympathies. Mike was deeply loved. XO

Mike was dealt a tough hand to play at such a young age. No one would have traded places with him for even a second. He did not feel sorry for himself, rather he maintained a positive attitude, adapted, and overcame his obvious physical challenges. He was always friendly and was a bona fide people person. Rest in peace Mike, see you on the other side.

Very sad to hear about Mike. My brother Andy was in his class. My family lived one street over from his family in Berwyn. Mike was a tough cookie. He never let his childhood accident define him. I can remember him crawling underneath his car when it got stuck in our driveway once. I remember him playing football in the neighborhood games. He was an inspiration. Prayers & sincere condolences to his family.

Michael was a gentle-man and a true friend. He had a quick, keen sense of humor and a helping hand - even if it was just one - for anyone who needed it. He faced more struggles yet complained far less than most of us. He enjoyed SO much of life - being a loyal husband, a devoted father, and a loving brother, partying and sharing time with friends, eating good food (like hoagies from John's Pizza in Malvern), and sampling fine rum. He threw himself into living his life to the fullest extent and gave us all an example to emulate.
Michael, you will be deeply missed, but our amazing memories of you will always make us smile.

Cannot even put into words how shocked we are to hear of Mike's passing. He not only is a brilliant person, he was so, so proud of his family and got a big kick out of the fact I drove Alex to school, as I was his bus driver for a couple of years.
We then was given Mikes name as a computer expert, which he was. When he told us he was moving to Maine, we were devastated.
Mike was not only a wiz at computers, he was the most nicest guy and you could just sit and enjoy him beyond computers. He was home here for a brief time recently and made the time to come and work on our neighbors computer problem.
Mike Raab we will sooooo miss you. Rest in sweet peace Mike, you so deserve it.
To Mike's family, we are so, so sorry for your loss and sadness.

Liz and boys, My memory of Mike is from the American Embassey in Guatemala. Molly was all over the counter while I was trying to sign the papers. I asked Mike to hold her while I finished. She got to be too much for him, too! We all survived, though, and made it out with all our documents! Memories, memories, memories. I hope they help to ease the pain. Love, Adrienne
