Michael Rigden

Michael Rigden 72 of Jay, OK passed away on February 2, 2017 at his home in Jay. Michael was born July 18, 1944 in Middlesbrough, England; he was the son of Albert and Elizabeth Rigden. He was the widower of the late Betty Rigden , whom preceded him in death. Michael drove a truck for the PAM Trucking Line. He enjoyed beekeeping, liked to travel on vacations, spending time with his grandchildren. Michael also enjoyed drawing, painting, calligraphy and corresponding with written letters. He proudly took the oath to become a U.S. Citizen on February 14, 2007. Survivors include: Children Randy Roberts Maysville, AR Cindy Vetor Gentry, AR James Roberts Fayetteville, AR Rebecca Roberts Maysville, AR Travis Roberts Maysville, AR Grandchildren Brandy Fowler & husband Jordan Chad Jones, Tori Vetor, Alyssa Roberts, Kenzie Roberts Great GC Alexis Fowler, Erin Fowler and Jordan Fowler 2 Brothers Chris Rigden and Jim Rigden Michael is also survived by numerous friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Elizabeth and his wife Betty. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 5pm – 8pm A graveside service will be held at the Maysville Cemetery in Maysville, AR on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Raymond Scott will officiate the service under the direction of Backstrom – Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, AR.
