Mike, I scoured the internet searching your name. Many people cited your website in reference to the golden section from your drawings of Villa Savoye. I even found a woodworking site that cited your writing about Le Corbusier. What a shame it is not to see all your beautiful drawings which were all works of Art. I will do what I can to get your Temple of Solomon and Mishkan drawings into book form and online. I miss you. Love, Carol xoxo

I was sad and stunned with the news that you had passed. I will always remember you, as many probably do, "uncle Mike", even though we were actually cousins. You were always just a really fun and cool person to be around. You couldn't be in a bad mood when you were around.. Or at least I couldn't.
The last time I saw you was in 2005 I think when Dave and I came through Pensacola, on our way to New Orleans. We walked through your house which had really come along way from the last I saw it, and you showed me some of your drawings. It was a great visit. .. Gone too soon!
I love you and will miss you always til we meet agian.
My love and comfort goes out to Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Jim and to all of my cousins. I love you all!

We met back in the 1970s in Boston, Massachusetts and later years in Berkeley, California...You were always taller than me...Communications via cell and internet were not unheard of with interest in architecture and design...All that know and all that do not know will miss this man...
Peace, Health, Harmony, Love...Ron...

Michael, you left this world no sound was heard I had not an idea, that life on Earth, would end for you and you would not be here.
You were gone before I knew it no chance to say goodbye. I cannot grasp that you're not here or know the reason why.
Your tragic end, came swift and fast and I could not be here to hold your hand and comfort you it's much more than I can bear.
I wish I could rewind the clock and have know now what I know. I could have hugged you one more time before you had to go.
in my heart I hold you close and there you shall remain until my time has come on earth when we shall meet again. I love you so much Michael. The last two weeks I spent with you I will never forget. Just sitting on the porch in the dark talking for hours. I miss you so much and life wont be the same without you here. RIP my dear brother in law

Beloved and dear friend Michael:
I am in shock and stunned after discovering this news on sunday ! For over thirty years you were always there, "hi, i'm calling to check up on you; I was sick last week that's why I didn't call." A more caring friend you will never find. Mike came out to Berkeley in June 1998 when I had major surgery. He stayed for three weeks and then drove me back East in a U-Haul truck. I met Mike at The Architects Collaborative in Cambridge when we were both working there in the late '70's. He was going to the BAC. We lived in Cambridge and then went to U.C. Berkeley. Although I only saw him three times since 1998 we stayed in touch through these years. I spoke to him two days before he passed away which turned out to be the last time. Together we visited Robby and Carol when they were in Pasadena. Mark stayed with us in Cambridge when he attended Berklee School of Music. In addition to the prolific amount of work he produced, he found time to collaborate with me on my synagogue project. His measured drawings of the Tabernacle in the Desert and the Temple of Solomon in cubits and feet drew a crowd when I displayed them at the Environmental Design Research Association conference. We were working on the book. He changed my life. I never met anybody like him. He was the most supportive and encouraging friend I ever had. I feel like I lost my best friend. A bright light has gone out. Peace and healing energy to the Robinett family.

Our last lunch together with Bobby, Chris, and my two teenagers on her birthday last month is my last and best memory of you sweet heart. You, smiling over ice cream, and discussing how they manufactured it! Sitting with you and Bobby until they came to wrap you up and gently wheel you out the door...and now we are sifting through your photos, the amazing work you did all over the world with your architectural work, and we see how you helped so many people! It was a privilege to know you and we all are just heartbroken that you are not here with us. I know you are laughing, exploring, and still learning somewhere out there. Hug Robby and Mark for us love, we will miss you.

Beloved brother, Michael.
I was there when mom brought you home from the hospital.
We were there together when Rebel the dog passed away and you cried for days missing a good friend.
You were on the SF Bay Bridge coming for dinner when the Loma Prieta earthquake took out the mid section of the bridge. You called me on the other side of the bay from your cell phone to let me know you would be late and not to hold up dinner.
Your architectural accomplishments were recognized internationally.
You lived and loved life like it mattered in the balance.
You carefully studied and mastered the situations you faced.
Your gift of deep family love will always be treasured and you will always be remembered.
I have had the greatest privilege being your brother.
