Both my wife and myself will sorely miss, Mike, a great man with both blunt honesty and first class integrity. It is rare to meet a person who exemplifies the desirable qualities that everyone strives to achieve in their lifetime. We will forever be sorry that we were not able to spend more time and learn from such a person.
To the entire Roy family: Michael Peter Roy will forever hold a high place in our hearts and will be missed for a lifetime. Our thoughts and prayers are with the ones he loved and those who loved him.

Dear Bill and Family,
I was profoundly saddened to hear of Mike's passing today. My sympathies go out to all of you during this difficult time. Please know that the brief time we spent together growing up were some of the best days of my life. I often think of the generosity and love I felt at the Roy house and will forever be grateful to you for that.
You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill,
I got word of your brother's death in early May and was deeply saddened by the news. I'm so glad the Post-Gazette offered this opportunity, because I was so frustrated that I couldn't locate a home address or email address for you so I could send my condolences. You have definitely been on my mind.
Please remember how many people, especially back home, that you and your brother have touched, not just with fall-down laughter, but with friendship and respect. Please reach out to them when you need to. Sending you, your family, and Mike's wife and children prayers for strength, peace and healing.

Dear Bill,
I know that it has been some time since we've spoken or seen each other, but I wanted to tell you how sorry I am. I only have a few memories of Mike, since you and I were closer. They were happy ones, especially at Penn State. He and I did share a Spanish class together and I just remember him being quiet. I will never forget how you two and Joe made me laugh that night in my apartment at Penn State. As we got older, I can't remember a time when you two weren't together. I truly am sorry for your loss.
