Michael Shipp Obituary
He was born on April 24th, 1964 in Middleton, Manchester, England to Peter and Patricia Shipp.
Mike grew up playing soccer (football in Europe) and cricket. He was a devoted Manchester United fan and loved to watch them play. He was an expert on the team's history and could tell you all the stories and facts about them on a whim. He loved to collect anything and everything that represented Manchester United and displayed it proudly.
At the age of 24, he moved to the United States on a job transfer from British Aerospace to McDonnell Douglas. He also worked for Boeing, Northrop, and SpaceX. He was always very proud and dedicated to the work he did. He was beloved and appreciated by his coworkers for his work ethic.
He's survived by his wife, Stacey Shipp, of 29 years; his son, Grant Shipp; his stepdaughter, Brooke Bateman; his father, Peter Shipp; his sister, Susan and her husband, Chris Donally; his sister Joanne Lindsay; nephews, Matthew, Sam, Max and niece, Hannah; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He's preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Shipp; grandparents, John and Emily Daly, and Cyril and Lillian Shipp.
He will be greatly missed by us all.

Michael shipp was together my classroom 12 years Whitebrook school and together team football and cricket with Deaf league. We were out pub and food with him . Massively sad RIP I will missed him so much we were together to watch football Manchester United and Lancashire Cricket League at Old Trafford . Massively missed him I will never never forgot him . Miss you and RIP

We knew Mike from school Whitebrook school for the deaf in Manchester England so sad to hear that he passed away our condolences goes to Stacey and her family rest in peace with his mum now and fly among the angels Robert and Antonia Haigh

As Mike went to the same school with my Father in Manchester UK and moved to California. This is a wonderful memory when my parents visited me in California and I remember our time together in 2012. My heart goes out for your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. We miss him dearly.
I worked with him at SpaceX. He's very smart and dedicated to his work.
I remembered one time when I was trying to find a way to cut a seal material and couldn't do it. So I approached Michael and asked for his help. I could see in his face the eagerness and challenge he's willing to take.
Within an hour he came up with a solution. He was so happy and has a big grin on his face. He will be truly missed by all of his coworkers at Spacex.

Went to Trafford watch Man Utd with him play football with him , play cricket with him , go have drink with him we are in same school Whitebrook . His parents is same school as my parents at Old Trafford deaf school . We only 2 Whitebrook school live in America . Will see u in heaven mate .

Hi this is Peter Johnston, I´m so sorry to hear Michael has passed, I served my apprenticeship with Michael at aerospace, we had a lot of happy fun times during this time . He was a really nice guy and a good friend. I also grew up in Middleton so I new him before aerospace, but aerospace is where I got to know him well. RIP Michael
