Michael Sweeney Obituary
Michael was the beloved son of Juanita Sweeney and the late Thomas Sweeney. He grew up in Nissequogue, Long Island, New York, before his family returned to Baltimore, where he spent much of his life. He was a proud graduate of Loyola University in Baltimore and built a successful career as a business consultant before retiring.
In retirement, Michael relocated to Celebration, Florida, where he embraced his love for Walt Disney World by working part-time as a bartender. He delighted guests with his storytelling and cherished his time at the parks as a lifetime member. An avid marathon runner, Michael participated in numerous marathons across the country each year, demonstrating his passion for fitness and perseverance.
Michael is survived by his mother Juanita Sweeney; his brother Thomas Sweeney Jr.; his sister Nancy Cooper; one son; and one grandson. He was predeceased by his father Thomas Sweeney and his sister Marianne Sweeney.
Michael's vibrant spirit and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his loss.
