Michael Thomas Ramsey Obituary
Michael Thomas Ramsey died at the age of 74 on February 24, 2023 in Louisville Kentucky. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born in Louisville Kentucky on August 30, 1948 to Homer and Rusty Ramsey. At 18 he started working for LG&E. After retiring from LG&E, he worked for OPS plus for several years before taking a position with Duke Energy. He retired from Duke Energy in July 2019.
He lived every day of his life with a smile and a laugh for everyone. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife Nita Ramsey, his two daughters Cynthia Lynn Ramsey and Stacey Morgan Nunez, his Niece Gina Ramsey Davis, his two granddaughters Jordyn Elizabeth Moseley and Elena Isabella Nunez, and one grandson Joshua Tyler Moseley.
His life celebration will be held on March 18, 2023 from 1-6 PM at Epworth Methodist Church in the Life Center (919 Palatka Ave., Louisville, KY 40214).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers please send donations to the Epworth United Methodist Church scholarship fund in Mike Ramsey's name.

Nita. so sorry for your loss, I just recently learned of Mikes passing, I have nothing but fond Memories of Mike and have never heard a person have a bad thing to say about him...RIP Mike

I´ve worked with and for Mike many times during my career at LG&E. He was a special guy. I remember he used to talk louder than normal (he talked loud anyway) while walking thru the halls while we were remodeling at BOC so we could hear him coming around when he was out doing rounds with Hatfield. That was Ramsey...and that is why everyone that worked for him worked their butts off and always had his back.

I worked with Mike at LG&E. He was good, kind, demanding, fair, Boss & Friend. I heard he played golf with no shirt. While fishing night-time tournaments he was shirtless. The bugs new better than to bite Mike. Mike's quote was " And That's Just the Way It Is." I'm so sorry for your lost. We'll all miss Mike and that's just the way it is. Rest in Peace.

To know Mike Ramsey is to love him! I´ve never met a more fun loving man. He lived his life to the fullest. The first time I met him I felt as if I was family. Some of my best memories of my childhood include him. He was always up for a good time. Really truth be told he was the good time. The love he had for Nita was beautiful. The bond between him and Cindy was like nothing I´d ever seen. To the Ramsey family thanks for always making me feel like family. I´m so sorry for your loss. "Hotel California"
