You would be 71 years old today, and you should be here with me, celebrating your birthday as we always did, by going on vacation, or by just enjoying our time together. You always said that the whole country started celebrating the week of your birthday starting on July 4th! Oh, how I miss you Michael.

Happy Birthday my love!
Me, the girls and the grandkids had your "Love Lives On..." Remembrance Dinner tonight at La Casita. Last year's Remembrance Dinner was at Pancho Villa's and your very first Remembrance Dinner was held at Castaway's Restaurant, where you always took me on my birthday. It's been 3 1/2 years without you and my heart still hurts ~ I love you and I miss you so much!!

I was lost without you and since your mom and Jess joined you I feel like a rudderless ship going around in circles with no direction; however, I smile thinking about all of you together and celebrating your mom's birthday today. My dear, sweet, beautiful brother Mike. You've always left me smiling and the family and I miss you so very much! Please give my Michael and Mom & Jess, a great big hug and kiss from me. Then have them all give you one from me. :-) Nothing has been the same since you all have left us in such a short time. Please look after your beautiful family & ask God to give us the strength to endure the years ahead, because as your daughter Stephanie mentioned - you all have taught us so many things, except how to live without you. Too many missing links of our family chain, but please ask God to hold us all together while we work through our grief.

I'm so lost without you...

I remember Uncle Mike as a happy man with a great smile and laugh! I did not ever witness him angry or upset ever! He was always positive and a nice uncle and my Godfather. When I lived with him, he would always cook us a great dinner.

My dad taught us a lot of things, except how to live without him.. We miss you dad.
