Michael VAUGHAN Obituary
In the early hours of Sunday, August 14, 2016, Michael passed away peacefully of natural causes. He was 89 years old. Michael was born on September 5, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. He proceeded over the next 9 decades to leave his mark both there, in Florida, and everywhere around the world that he and Burton traveled. Mike served in the Navy as a young man. It was there he met his life partner, Burton M. Brauer. He returned to Chicago and held various jobs, specializing in the printing industry. In the 1960's Mike and Burton moved to Dade County, Florida. Mike worked in the state's prison system working in rehabilitation. He and Burton retired 30 years ago and moved to Palm Beach County. Mike was beloved not only by his partner, Burton, but by their cousins, Eileen and Arnold Grubman, Lauren Grey, and their many dear friends. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held 12:45PM Thursday, August 25, 2016 at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth. Please assemble in Lane 5.
