Mike Rodee,

Thank you for being a long time friend to our family! Many great memories of our times sailing on Lake Nagawicka. Especially for you and Dad.

Always enjoyed our visits in later years as well: Panera, McDonald's, Kopp's, UP lakes to Florida beaches, wherever.... You were always a gracious host, and a valued guest.

You are missed! Your kindness, spirit, and thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.

A good life lived... Glad to have been part of it.

Thank you! Love you, Mike!

We got the pleasure to know Mike over the last 3 and a half years living in the unit below him. Mike truly loved the simple things in life like his morning Panera coffee, sudoku and crossword puzzles, and feeding the birds in our driveway. He was always a pleasure to be around and we will miss seeing having him around.

Mike was one of the first people we met in 1994 at the NLYC. he got Mary Kay to sale his E boat and eventually sold the boat to her. She sailed it for years. He had lots of sailing stories. We used to use our metal detectors to go around old areas. near the NLYC shore he found an 1892 silver quarter. On the property on Milwaukee Street- the old Graham Garner house, he found a beautiful gold broach buried about 8 inches down. it had multi colors stones placed in a lily pattern. he gave it to the owners of the home. Mike was always good for a story whether metal detecting in Florida or past sailing stories. he was an old soul for sure. I will miss him and am very sorry to hear of his passing- chuck hajinian
