Mike was a welcoming, warm and inspiring leader when I worked with him early in my career at Fidelity. He cared deeply about the employees he served in his role as head of Benefits. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with someone of Mike's caliber; I especially enoyed his humor and the sense of "fun" he brought to work everyday.

Mike was a wonderful person who always brought a smile to your face. The last time I saw him he looked great, was driving a hot car (mustang?) and seemed to be just loving life in retirement. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing and send my deepest sympathies to those will feel his loss the greatest.

Mike was quite simply a wonderful guy - friendly, kind, helpful, interested, engaged, a doer - at work, the Vineyard, with his family, the church (Treasurer, vestryman, originator of the Christmas tree sales fundraiser), the Boy Scouts, United Way. Our whole family was touched by Mike. We've lost a great friend. Men just don't come any better. Sincere condolences and much love to Karen, Christian, Michael Jr. and Christina.

I was very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I have some great memories of Mike at work @ Fidelity and also catching a couple of Bean Pot tournaments. I will miss him greatly.

Mike's life seems to exemplify what we all wish we could do...live life to the fullest with joy in our hearts. I worked on Mike's team for 4 years in Boston and also worked with him in Marlborough. Those were some memorable times! There is a sadness that has settled in me since I heard of his passing. I know the impression he made on me, and my prayers are with Karen and his entire family for their incredible loss.

Mike was a great leader at work. He expected a lot of his people but he also made it fun. He had a great sense of humor and was always kind in giving advice to those of us just starting out about life events and importance of family. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Mike was a gentleman of the old school, a class act, and I am pleased to call him my friend. We live on thru our good deeds and the positive energy that we create and I know that Mike will be with all of us for a long time to come. Hearing about his trips (with complete details. a real travelogue) his children and grandchildren, his support for Karen was always a pleasant interlude in our conversations. He will be missed and remembered by many.
