Michael Zito MD Obituary
Michael's service in the United States Air Force was marked by dedication and honor, reflecting his deep commitment to both his country and community. Beyond his professional and military life, Michael was a passionate sports fan, enthusiastically supporting local metropolitan area teams, which brought much joy and excitement to his life.
Those who knew Michael recognized him as a fun-loving, generous, and kind man. His radiant personality and benevolent spirit made him a beloved figure among family, friends, and colleagues.
Michael is survived by his wife, Loretta Zito; children, Frederick Zito and wife Kelly, Darren Zito and wife Maria, and Laura Cernansky and husband James; grandchildren, Britteny, Danielle, Michael, Nicholas, GianLuca, Alexander, Darren and Jason. He also leaves behind his sister Sabina Mascia and brother in law Frank Mascia, sister in law Theresa (Gioia) Zito and her sons Anthony and Michael Scagnelli, sister in law Barbara Zito, and several nieces and nephews including ErinRose, Selena, Ruthie, Lucille, Fredericka, and Thomas. Lifelong friends Angelo and Anita Pupa also survive him.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Zito, his mother, Rose Zunno, and brothers Daniel, Joseph, Thomas, and Frederick Zito.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Amyloidosis Research Consortium, supporting research in an area close to his heart. Michael's legacy will live on through his family, his contributions to medicine, and his service to his country, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Will miss our phone calls. Enjoyed talking with Michael about our years at St. Cecilia. We got together with some of our class awhile ago in our old neighborhood. Rest In Peace Michael.My condolences to all his family.

Mike was a gift to all that knew him. Anita and I considered him to be a brother. He was funny, caring, charming and kind. His family was the focus of his life, He will be missed by all....we love you Mike, you will be in our thoughts forever.
