Michele Sari Dolinsky

Michele Sari Dolinsky, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, in Melville, New York. She was born on March 17, 1947, in New York to Norman and Elaine Lokietz (née Katz).

Michele graduated from Long Island University Brooklyn with a degree in education and went on to build a life centered around love, laughter, and family. On January 20, 1968, she married the love of her life, David Dolinsky. The couple first made their home in Queens before settling in Manhasset Hills, Long Island in 1984, where they raised their three sons. Michele devoted herself fully to motherhood, nurturing her family with unwavering love and care.

Known for her sharp sense of humor and zest for life, Michele embraced the simple joys-whether watching Jeopardy!, playing mahjong, or inventing playful code words that became part of the family's unique language. She was a snowbird in later years, spending winters in Boca Raton and sharing laughs with her cherished group of friends, affectionately dubbed the (not-so) "New Kids on the Block."

Michele treasured her family above all else. Her warmth, wit, and light-hearted spirit brought joy to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David, in 2022. She is survived by her three sons-Jason (Nancy), Adam (Janene), and Brad (Nichole)-and her adored grandchildren: Gabrielle, Aidan, Jared, Elle, Trent, Charlize, and Mila.

A funeral service will be held at Gutterman's Funeral Home (Woodbury) on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 1pm. May her memory be a blessing and her light continue to shine in all who loved her.
