Michelle Binney Obituary
Born on February 24, 1965, in Erie, she was a daughter of the late William C. Podgorny and Rosemary (Huya) Podgorny, who survives.
Michelle was a 1983 graduate of St. Benedict's High School. She worked at American Tinning and Galvanizing for a time and then for Polymer Molding as a shipping coordinator.
A lover of shopping, she was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
In addition to her mother, Michelle is survived by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Binney, of Erie; a son, Kyle (Erica) Reynolds, of Erie; eleven grandchildren, which includes Ryan and Riley Reynolds, of Erie; three stepchildren, Jamie Detwiler, of Indiana, Justin (Melinda) Binney, of Ohio and Jodie Binney, of Erie; three siblings, Susan (Robert) Troup, of Boston, Mass., Michael (Destiny) Podgorny, of Iola, Wis. and Cheri Podgorny (Dion), of Erie; as well as two Goddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 1553 East Grandview Blvd., Erie. Committal services and burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th St., Erie, PA 16508.

As your Godmother and Aunt I enjoyed watching you grow up. I babysat you many times when you were young and I thought you were such a beautiful baby. You turned out to be a kind, loving and generous person, so talented in cooking, baking, and crafts. We will miss you dearly but we're sure you're in heaven with our Lord.
