Michelle J. Black, 48, of Alma, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at her home. She was born in Ozark and graduated from Greenwood High School, Central Bible College, and Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. She was a missionary associate with the Assemblies of God Latin America and Caribbean Library Services (LACLS). She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Aunt Janice Zonneveld; and a niece, Sarah Maddock.

She is survived by her parents, Glendall and Marilyn Black of the home; a sister, Denise Maddock and husband Art of Bella Vista; a niece and nephew, Jaydyn and Evan Maddock; six aunts; five uncles; nineteen cousins; and many dear friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Butterfield Assembly of God Church in Van Buren with interment to follow at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Jared Black, Don Black, Bryan McCutchan, Marcus Jennings, Brice Maddock, and Israel Mechaca. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Teeter, Larry Denton, Ronnie Miller, Jim Payne, and the Staff of LACLS.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.

The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice (Peachtree).
