Michelle "Chelly" Ann O'Keefe, aged 60, passed away on January 23, 2025, in New Britain, Connecticut. Born on January 8, 1965, in Albany, New York, Michelle devoted over two decades of her career to serving as a corrections officer in Connecticut.

A graduate of Farmington High School, Michelle went on to earn an associate's degree in criminal justice, reflecting her commitment to public service and justice. Her generous and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Michelle is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Susanne and her husband Dan; Noreen and her husband Ed; Michael and his wife Melissa; and Brenda. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews: Shannon; Christopher and his wife Taylor, along with their children Paxton and Wyatt; Mitchell; Olga; Jessica; Katelyn; Patrick; and Peter. She will also be missed by many other beloved family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carol (Sehl) and James O'Keefe; her longtime partner Kevin; her PIL Michael; and her nephew Jason.

Michelle's life will be honored through private services. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Donations can be made in memory of Michelle to Connecticut Humane Society.

I met Michelle in the 80´s we were roommates for a time but most of all very good friends. She had a heart of gold and her smile said it all. She loved me and my family unconditionally. I will miss her always. I love you Michelle. Love Moe
